DURESCA Wall Pass Insulators – RIP Technology
Reliable solutions for medium and high voltage systems
BBC Energy is the official distributor for Italy of DURESCA wall insulators, manufactured by the Swiss company MGC Moser-Glaser AG, part of the Pfiffner Group. The insulators, manufactured using RIP technology, ensure optimal insulation and mechanical resistance for voltages up to 550 kV.
Technology and materials
RIP isolators for high electronic performance and severe operating conditions
The insulators use copper or aluminum conductors and resin-impregnated paper (RIP) insulation, obtained through an autoclave baking process. This technology ensures excellent dielectric stability, low incidence of partial discharges, and long life even in harsh environmental conditions. This product, qualified and used by TERNA Rete Italia SpA, is used in a variety of electrical systems, enabling the passage of power within high- and medium-voltage buildings. It is available in various versions and adapts to the type of installation: indoor/indoor, indoor/outdoor, and outdoor/outdoor.
For outdoor applications, a version with a finned polymer insulator is available, which protects the busbar using RIP technology. The length can be adjusted to the thickness of the wall to be penetrated (standard 300/500 mm), and, if necessary, a toroidal transformer, produced by the same industrial group, can be integrated for fiscal measurement, protection, and control.
