Medium and high voltage RIP busbar connections - Duresca
High voltage busbar connections and RIP technology solutions for power generation and industrial applications
High-voltage XLPE busbar connections for HV power systems: BBC Energy oversees the design and installation of “Duresca” busbar trunking systems in collaboration with MGC Moser-Glaser AG.
The busbar systems are constructed with copper or aluminum conductors, insulated using RIP technology, and guarantee high reliability even in particularly aggressive environments, ensuring safe and long-lasting high-voltage cable connections in HV power systems.

Busbar trunking in RIP technology
“Duresca” solutions are designed for voltages up to 245 kV and high currents.
This cutting-edge technology is used in a variety of electrical connections (MV switchboards, transformers, and generators), ensuring optimal insulation and maintenance-free operation.
This solution is primarily used in electrical systems where currents exceed 1250 A, and connections using electrical cables are difficult due to capacity and space constraints (bending radii).
The “DURESCA” product replaces the parallel cable connection solution and also solves space constraints and very limited bending radii (max. 500 mm is the compact radius of the highest-capacity solution), with obvious advantages in terms of compactness. The current limit of this product, when used in MV generation, is 8 kA.
